How to set up an FXTrade account

In order to set up an FXTrade forex trading account with OANDA Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. please complete the online application.

It is available for individual traders (or entities) and consists of the following steps:

1. Account creation

   Please provide personal and financial information as well as details about your new FXTrade account profile. Please note that OANDA Asia Pacific believes that forex trading is not easy, however. In order to protect clients' interests, traders wishing to open accounts with OANDA Asia Pacific must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of six months' forex trading experience (trading on both demo and live platforms regardless of broker counts). If you do not qualify now we recommend you to open a lifetime free forex demo trading account with OANDA Asia Pacific.

2. Legal agreements

   You will have to acknowledge the legal agreements in order to open an account.

3. Account activation

   Once you have completed and submitted your application we will send you an automated email that will contain the activation link. Please activate your account by clicking on that link. If you did not receive the email, please check your junk mail folder.

4. Risk disclosure and ID confirmation

   In order for your account to be approved please send us the following documents via email to accountid-oap@oanda.com or fax to +65-6557-2969.
   • A) The ID Confirmation Form for Individuals (or Entities),
   • B) A copy of the signed Form 13 (risk disclosure) required by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Please ensure that you complete all of the following details:
     Signature
     Name of Customer
     Signature of Witness
     Name of Witness and Date - the witness can be anyone above the age of 21 years. (The fields ‘Designation’ and ‘Corporation Name’ only apply for Entities.),
   • C) A copy (front and back) of a government issued form of identification such as identity card, driver's license or passport (please ensure that it shows your date of birth), and
   • D) A copy of a proof of residential address such as credit card statement, utility/telephone bill or bank statement.
   • E) ONLY FOR ENTITIES: A copy of the appropriate signed corporate resolution for Corporate Entities, General Partnerships, Limited Liability Companies (LLC), Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) and Trusts. Companies need to additionally provide the certificate of incorporation or certified articles of incorporation. Partnerships or Trusts need to additionally provide the partnership agreement or trust instrument as applicable (the first page and signing page will suffice). Financial institutions need to additionally provide the certificate of incorporation or certified articles of incorporation, the regulatory license, list of shareholders or beneficial owners (in excess of 20%) and a statement demonstrating the entity’s commitment to prevention of money laundering and its anti-money laundering philosophy.

Once we have received and verified your documents we will send you an email to notify you that your account is ready for funding. If you have any questions regarding the funding of your account please refer to the instructions on how to deposit funds.
