How Do I Log In and Get Started?

You must already have an existing FXTrade or FXGame account. If you are new to FXTrade, please signup for an account first. 

Open a web browser on your mobile device, and go to http://m.fxtrade.com/fxtrade

Ensuring the Interface displays correctly

The browser settings on your mobile device should be set as follows:

Windows Mobile 5 users:
Go to Internet Explorer > Menu > View and use 'Default'. (Make sure the table columns are NOT set to one-column display.)

Windows Mobile 6 users:
Go to Internet Explorer > Menu > View and use 'Fit to Screen'.

BlackBerry users:
Go to Web Browser > Options > Browser Configuration and check 'Support HTML tables' and 'Support Style-Sheets'.

What can I do from FXTrade Mobile?

Once you are logged into your mobile trading interface, you will see the following choices:

Simply press the number key on your mobile device keypad for the action you would like to take.

**Important Note: Rates may change during order confirmation. When a trade occurs, the order will correspond to the most current exchange rate maintained at the OANDA FXTrade servers. Therefore, the executed rate may not necessarily be the same rate that was displayed when you initiated the request.

[1] Rates / Execute Trade     
Shows current Sell and Buy rates. To place an order, click on the rate. To refresh the list, press the * key. You can customize the currency list and the default values from your desktop platform.

[2] Account Summary
Shows Balance, Unrealized P&L, Net Asset Value, Realized P&L, Margin Used, and Margin Available. To refresh the list, press the * key.

[3] Positions
Shows open positions - the total number of units in open trades for each currency pair. Click the X icon next to a position to close all open trades. It will show the resulting P&L, and give you an option to choose submit or cancel.

[4] Trades
Shows all open trades. Click the X icon next to a trade to close it. It will show the resulting P&L, and give you an option to choose submit or cancel.

[5] Orders
Shows all open orders. Click the X icon next to an order to close it. It will show the resulting P&L and give you an option to choose submit or cancel.
 
[6] Change Account
Shows a list of all your accounts. The current account will be highlighted. You can select a different account to see its details.

[9] Options
Guides you on how to customize default values from your desktop platform.

[0] Logout
Logs you out from the mobile trading interface. You are logged out automatically after eight minutes of inactivity.

Customizing my FXTrade Mobile Interface

To customize the mobile trading interface, you must go to a regular FXTrade platform and create a profile named 'fxmobile' to change its user preferences.

To create an 'fxmobile' profile:

1.  From your FXTrade desktop platform, log in to FXTrade.
2.  Select Tools > Profile Manager > Save Current Profile As.
3.  Type 'fxmobile' > Click Save.
4.  Select Tools > User Preferences > Change supported settings.

To change the currency pairs displayed in the [1] Rates / Execute Trade:

1. Make sure you have selected the 'fxmobile' profile and go to the User Preferences window (Tools > User Preferences).
2. Go to the Quotes tab.
3. Drag the currency pairs you want into the Quote List. Click the arrows to reorder the pairs.
4. Click Save.

To pre-fill the units field with default values to quickly execute a trade:

1. Make sure you have selected the 'fxmobile' profile and go to the User Preferences window (Tools > User Preferences).
2. Go to the Trading tab.
3. Type the value in the Default Order Size field.
4. Click Save.

Note: The Stop Loss and Take Profit fields cannot be pre-filled yet. This functionality will be added in a future release.
