Marketing Generalist

General Description:

OANDA Asia Pacific is looking for a Marketing Generalist to help build and promote the OANDA brand in Singapore and SEA, Greater China, Australia, Japan.


Some of the responsibilities and tasks around this role include:

  • Keeping abreast of trends and best practices in overall marketing industry, identifying new potential opportunities for OANDA.
  • Effective use of ATL (including SEM) campaigns and BTL projects (webinars, events, (e)direct marketing or similar). Ensure projects are planned and tracked for results reporting.
  • Act as PR liaison with top regional financial publications.
  • Manage third-party vendors as necessary.
  • The candidate must also manage communications with internal clients and groups (including Customer Service, Technology and Sales) in the region and globally:
    • Work with Business Intelligence colleagues to ensure Marketing programme is in-line with investment and return targets.
    • Communicate and collaborate with global Marketing team to align initiatives.

Our candidate looks somewhat like this:

  • A degree in any of these disciplines: Marketing, Economics, Mass Communications, Social Sciences, Psychology.
  • 3 - 6 years experience in Marketing and Marketing Communications especially in below-the-line projects in non-financial industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of the consumer markets of Singapore and the region, up to Asia Pacific level.
  • Creative, driven individual with strong communication and organisational skills.
  • IT skills in the area of either database management, web design or SEO/SEM a bonus.
  • OANDA is currently hiring multi-lingual team members. Fluency (verbal and written) in Chinese, Korean or Japanese would be an added advantage.

Client Management Representative

General Description:

We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals to be part of the Client Management team, which supports and manages OANDA’s existing and potential clients.
As a Client Management Representative, you will handle all customer questions and inquiries with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism to resolve customer issues.


Main responsibilities:

  • Client Conversion – converting inactive and incomplete applications to Live Trading Accounts.
  • Client Account Management – Put your consultative skills to work by identifying and analyzing customer needs to ensure high customer satisfaction, growth and retention of business.
  • Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanour, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
  • Share ideas to improve business practices and the quality of service.
  • Educate and assist customers in FXTrade and FXGame functionality, features and benefits.
  • Maintain a well-developed working knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered OANDA, taking responsibility to keep up to date and request assistance for further development needs.

Please apply if you meet the following criteria:

  • At least 1 year experience in outbound call sales and customer service experience is required.
  • Organizational, problem-solving and effective time management skills are essential.
  • Strong inter-personal skills: engaging and enthusiastic approach to working with customers and your fellow colleagues.
  • Ability to think analytically and creatively.
  • Most comfortable working in a fast paced, high volume, changing environment.
  • A good listener who shows empathy and strives to make your customers experience one you would like to have.
